“Health for all, hunger for none” – with our strategic focus on sustainability, we are making a key contribution to ensuring our vision becomes reality.
We believe that economic growth and sustainability should go hand in hand. Sustainability is therefore a core element of our corporate strategy and enjoys the same status among our corporate goals as our financial indicators.

Across the globe, there are some 550 million smallholders who provide up to 80% of their countries' food supplies. Many of them, however, can barely earn their own living. We want to help by improving access to knowledge, products and services.

At least half the world's population currently has no access to basic health services, including self-medication products. We want to change this by ensuring the availability of appropriate products and education.

According to the United Nations, gender equality will be a decisive factor for the world's future economic and social development. We want to strengthen the role of women and intensify our efforts in modern family planning.

We therefore will provide equitable pricing and patient affordability programs. Our ambition is to reach 100 million people by 2030.
Moreover, we will continue our collaboration with the WHO to fight tropical diseases like African Sleeping Sickness and Chagas Disease, typically hitting the lowest levels of the income pyramid the worst.
...make our own production sites climate-neutral and reduce emissions along the value chain by 2030.

…reduce the greenhouse gas footprint of crop production where our products are used by 30 percent by 2030.
…reduce the environmental impact of crop protection products by 30 percent by 2030.
…establish a sustainable production and transition to circular options that reduce, recycle, reuse, and replace in our Consumer Health business.

Our DE&I aspiration: We live a culture where everyone is valued and enabled to be the best version of themselves – For Better.
At Bayer, we are continuously in pursuit of better: better outcomes for patients, better sustainable practices for farmers, and better products for consumers. To be successful, we must live a culture that isn’t just accepting of all its people, but intentionally embraces and celebrates the diverse and unique experiences, backgrounds, perspectives, and knowledge of our team to create impact in the communities we serve and the world.
Collection of similarities and differences that we each have based on innate individual characteristics, lived experiences, and learned customs, traditions, and other cultural influences.
Intentional and continuous efforts to create an accessible environment where people feel they belong and are enabled to be the best version of themselves, because their uniqueness is valued, talent recognized, and voices heard.
Eliminating barriers so that people are treated based on their unique needs, circumstances and with consideration of historical and systemic inequities. It ensures that everyone has access to the same opportunities and requires consistent enhancement and re-evaluation of policies, practices, attitudes, and cultural messages to create and reinforce fair outcomes.

Guaranteeing fairness and respect at work is crucial to creating the best version of Bayer where we respect differences, embrace inclusion, and show up as our best selves. This is one of our foundational mindsets and DSO behaviors. It is the responsibility of everyone to maintain a safe and inclusive workplace that allows us all to feel comfortable collaborating and co-creating solutions for customer needs. By ensuring everyone is empowered to show up as their true selves, we will drive the greatest value for our customers and move closer to our mission: Health for all, Hunger for none.
What if we worked with high creativity and low hierarchy? What if we were more impactful and less bureaucratic? What if we were more collaborative than competitive? And above all, what if we felt nothing but passion for what we do?
DSO is our operating model. It’s a way to unleash our collective and unique strengths to create better outcomes and more value for our farmers, patients, consumers, investors, employees and other stakeholders. DSO reminds us why we all said yes to joining #TeamBayer.
